Allison Snelgrove holds a Ph.D. and MA in études anglaises, from Université de Montréal (2015 and 2009, respectively), and a BA with honours from Queen’s University (2005). She is currently a lecturer at Vanier College, in the English Department, where she teaches introductory and post-introductory courses. Allison has been involved in research and editing since her undergraduate days, where her first (truly odd, if fascinating) job as a researcher involved cataloguing all known evidence of Elasmobranchii in the fossil record. Since then, she has worked to develop hypertext databases of literary texts, edited a creative anthology titled Festival du homard: A fresh catch of Montréal writing (2009), and is well-versed in both federal and provincial grant applications. Her most recent project involved copy-editing a book of essays on Italian Renaissance Painting.

Simply put, Allison is both passionate about knowledge and committed to helping both academic, and creative, writers, at all stages of their efforts, to develop their craft.
